I met this remarkable photographer at the National Arts club earlier this summer. I was undone by her instagram feed and inquired about her work. Here is a new series Klee is doing with all her own images after years of borrowing from fashion magazines. Her 8lb pooch is her muse and here is one of her latest projects. About her dog, Klee shares, "Goldie, the Chihuahua called the 8lbpooch, was originally bought by a dear friend of mine for her then 7 year old daughter. They traveled a lot and I happily offered to take care of Goldie in their absence. The more this happened, the more I became attached to Goldie and was about to tell them that I could no longer watch her because it was too difficult for me. That same day I received a voicemail that said the daughter suggested to her mother that it might be good if Goldie goes to live with me."
About Goldie and modeling, " I think Goldie sees it as her work. We try to shoot at the same time every morning and she'll give you about 30 seconds of her wearing or posing with the prop. And then she will walk off set and wait for her reward. If I did not get the shot...I have to wait until she is ready again... Usually the next morning. Don't be fooled she is the boss."
