Lars Wahl says, "I began photographing dogs on the streets about 3 years ago. Now, it has gradually become an established ritual; I stake out the local supermarkets for "parked dogs" to add to my collection. My girlfriend thinks I’m embarrassing when I stop on our walks, to shoot a stranger's dog but that doesn’t stop me!
As a child, I grew up with dogs. My first dog "Rikke", a mix breed, was at home when I was born, in ´73. Subsequently, we got "Mads and Mette", a sibling pair, also mix breeds, and then we got "Line," a fox terrier who followed me everywhere until I left home. All these dogs meant a lot to me. Since I moved to Copenhagen, moving from apartment to apartment has not been permitted to have dogs. So now, I try to photograph as many dogs as I can!
As a commercial photographer, I normally work with portraits, pack shots, kids and fashion for Carmakoma.com." you can find Lars on Instagram @lars_wahl_dogs
