Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

As one does in the summer, Neville and Charlie went to Maine to visit their buddy Carter

Me…in Carter’s kitchen…where I spent most of the weekend when I wasn’t running circles in the yard.

I took this portrait of Charlie taking it all in before the drive back to NYC.

I wasn’t allowed to chew on these antlers but that didn’t stop me from wearing them!

THIS IS MAUDE and she’s the most wonderful lab/hound mix EVER!  She lives in Wiscasset, Maine. Carter was picking up stools from her dad, Andy Abello (who’s insanely talented) and he invited us over to play… Charlie fell in love.

Charlie and I heard about this place called TREATS (which is dog friendly) in Wiscasset, Maine so we stopped for…TREATS!

I’m not certain there’s enough space on this site to pine over my deep love of Maine. I spent most of my summer’s as a kid on an island in Penobscot Bay and subsequently most of my summer’s as an adult dreaming about one day sharing Maine with a family of my own but until that day comes, why not bring a dog or two!

Trips to, “The Way Life Should Be” have been few and far between since my college years. So when a friend invited me up to his place (dogs included!) and I could only spare a weekend (knowing it was a solid 9 hours in the car (one way) leaving New York City on a Friday afternoon), who was I to say no?

Since Neville was staying with me while his dad was in Paris working, he was lucky enough to tag along with his best friend, Charlie… Needless to say, the dogs were in heaven from the minute the damp salty summer air started pouring in through the car windows…
