Everyone and their furry mother has been stuck feeling this insane heat wave taking the east coast by storm...
If you are hot and sticky, just try to imagine what it feels like to be wearing a fur coat 24.7!
Here are some few tips to keep those troopers as comfortable as possible until this heat wave subsides:
Be sure to take a handkerchief before you leave your home for a walk. A quick trick is to soak the handkerchief in cold water, so your dog can get a cool rub down during their walk.
The pavement is so hot right now it could boil eggs, so be sure to check your dog's pads to make sure they are not too hot.
Don't forget the sunscreen for your dog! Surprisingly enough, they need it too!
In the best possible scenario: search for a place that allows your dog to go for a swim. Some public parks throughout the city offer ponds for immediate relief and splashes!
But, in the meantime, be sure to keep your AC running on HIGH and your pooch licking lots of ice cubes.
