"It started with my fascination for large breeds a few years back, especially the Irish Wolfhound. I had some idea of an exhibition at the time but it did not come to pass. So I started @dogsbestman on instagram, and it proved to be quite popular, only problem was that I had run out of dog pictures after a few weeks.  As a result there was only one thing to do -  go out and photograph more dogs! I often combine people and dogs and most of the time I use my friends as models. Sometimes I see a place that I know is going to fit with a specific breed of dog. Other times I see a person I'd like to use as a model for a picture. And that's probably the style that distinguishes me from many others who take pictures of dogs. I am very grateful for Instagram, it`s a platform where I can continually post pictures without either my followers or I getting tired of all my dog pictures. So in many ways Instagram keeps me creatively challenged and active. And we'll see I get an exhibition soon thereafter. Fingers crossed!" - Truls Bakken
