As the child of Mrs. Sizzle, very rarely am I allowed space on her site to brag about her accomplishments as the dog-lady extraordinaire. Luckily for me, her latest event in Bellport, Long Island gives me the perfect opportunity to do just that.

In conjunction with the nation’s recent campaign to Clear Out the Shelters (#cleartheshelters) on August 15th, Mrs. Sizzle hosted a Dog’s Night Out on the main street of our quaint Long Island town to showcase adorable pups from Brookhaven Animal Shelter looking for their furrever home. Although this event attracted quite a crowd, the real stars of the night were the 25 dogs sporting some of the cutest smiles. For your pleasure, here are some of the best shots from the event.

This story really does have a happy ending because 19 dogs and 22 cats found their new homes on Saturday!    - Sophie Donaldson Kearney
