As the child of Mrs. Sizzle, very rarely am I allowed space on her site to brag about her accomplishments as the dog-lady extraordinaire. Luckily for me, her latest event in Bellport, Long Island gives me the perfect opportunity to do just that.
So this week's New Yorker cover is so very #mrssizzle, no? I LOVED it and had to meet the man behind the art, Mark Ulriksen. This is what he had to say about dogs, "I love them because they love us so profoundly and unconditionally. And they help us humans try to live up to the high pedestals they naturally put us on."
Mia loves Jay and Mrs. Sizzle loves Mia loves Jay. Says Mia, "I'm a massive dog lover, owner of a crazy 4 year old Labrador and an 11 year old Westie, hence my love for creating my designs. I grew up on a farm in rural Ireland, so I have been surrounded by dogs, horses, sheep, chickens, etc my entire life.
It was a gorgeous afternoon at Jesse and Carl's. Many Bellport neighborhood dogs came to frolic, eat many mini hotdogs and sniff butts. A great time was had by all! Thank you Jesse, Carl, Sam and Howie Guja, the brilliant Bellport photographer!
