Peruvian Connection is warming up these beautiful dogs from Humane Society of NY

I had not yet been to the Humane Society of New York until today and it is with great joy that I can report I finally met my friend Sandra DeFeo who Richard Phibbs had introduced me to! Today I was there with the great Tara Sgroi to photograph some gorgeous dogs who are in need of furever homes.  The most fun thing is they are wearing Peruvian Connection sweaters that CEO and Founder, Annie Hurlbut, dreamed up that use the remnants of the alpaca garments that are knit for Peruvian Connection.Tomorrow these sweaters will be for sale with 100% of the proceeds benefitting the Humane Society of New York

ISAAC MIZRAHI LOVES ONLY HANDSOME DOGS - HANDSOME RESCUE DOGS THAT IS. MRS. SIZZLE AND WILLIAM ABRANOWICZ WENT TO HAVE A PLAYDATE WITH THEM

I have known this man for decades - not close like “besties” but rather kindred spirits of sorts. I always knew Isaac was a dog person, but when I learned that the two dogs he owns and loves were rescues, I was relentless.  I mean RELENTLESS.  So here we go, nothing more to say.  Watch the brilliant video directed by William Abranowicz and be delighted by the man who so often delights with humor and his wit.  Ladies and Gents, Isaac Mizrahi.

rob younkers and joe zee dressed their dogs and Pamela Hanson was there to watch the whole show

These two - Rob Younkers and Joe Zee! Best in their biz, celebrated fashion and creative directors, TV personalities extraordinaire not to mention BIG dog lovers.  So we at Mrs. Sizzle asked Pamela Hanson to join us for a doggie play date at their apartment and we had NO IDEA how much fun it would really be.  Of course they played dress up!  See below for some of the q’s we asked about the dogs but as not to belabor here is the fruit of our visit – the cutest vide I have ever seen!

I knew Sophie Gamand was doing a big shoot last summer so it is with great pride that I share with you her latest story from my favorite, LOVE MAGAZINE.  She has not only applied her fab photographic skills but does what she is known best for - photographing beautiful dogs that are so badly in need of a home.  She has already appeared on Sizzle with her pit bull series, one that we prepared together in Brookhaven, NY.

What does Jackie O', Molly Ringwald and your dog have in common? They all look pretty in pink! This fabulous color looks radiant on both pet and owner. Check out these pink products for your pooch from K9 Couture Co, Penn & Pooch, and Yark. While Reppeto and Dior serves up fashion for you in our favorite shades of pink!

Dogs need a little extra fur sometimes so here are some great ideas of ways to keep them warm. Mungo and Maud, Ruby Rufus and Mr. Soft Top let Mrs. Sizzle test drive and keep the sweaters. Lucky us! We pulled in a few more to round out the bunch and we are in love with them all! Howie Guja arrived for the canine playdate and photographed our neighborhood dogs and some beauties that are up for adoption. Please, always consider adopting a dog if you are looking for a new furry friend.

Ysa Perez and I visited the home of Tudor Cucu, a photographer, and Iulia Cirstea, an Elite model living in New York city with little Mr. Blue, an enthusiastic Yorkie that they got upstate about three years ago.  In my honest opinion, I couldn't tell who was better at modeling, Iulia or that Mr. Blue who has a closet that would put any other dog to shame.  Mr. Blue goes everywhere with the couple and even has his own passport to boot!

Irene Albright is a fashion DYNAMO. Amy Lombard and I had the pleasure of visiting the library the other day to get a tour and a few licks from Gus! What an impressive place.  Irene shares,  "After working as a stylist for 20 years and desperately seeking wardrobe for a shoot, I decided to build my own showroom; a safe haven for all my friends who were stylists to pull their shoots." The Albright Fashion Library, since opening in 1990, has expanded and evolved into a resource for the industry’s top stylists, magazine editors and costume designers.

I first worked with PLATON many years ago for Esquire magazine.  It was a boxing story that we cast at Gleason's gym and I will never forget Platon's intense focus while working on this job. So when I came across this brilliant story in Garage Magazine, it was no surprise to me that is was a PLATON project. As he so aptly recalls, "This project was an extraordinary experience. For me it was a celebration of the relationship between human beings and animals. Having all these beautiful dogs in my studio changed the dynamic immensely with all the models I was privileged to work with. In many cases, the dogs needed reassurance and were timid in front of the light. The models suddenly found themselves nurturing and supporting these lovely animals in their moment of vulnerability. The end result has soul, humility and sincerity. You can see it in all the model’s eyes in each image. They are nothing but perfectly authentic.
