All in Instagrammer

"A million things hold the universe together. Our universe begins with Instagram and a cat.

I had rescued this sweet cat named Jazz from the streets of Hartford over a month before Alice walked into our lives. Jazz was malnourished, cold, and dumpster diving in order to survive. Countless treats and a few scratches later, she moved into my college dorm full time with me.

This is a funny story... Laurie was shooting her show that was up last month at Salon 94 when Lamby jumped up on the model's lap and Laurie snapped this shot. The end.

Big story right?  Well, I went to the gallery I met another gorgeous dog whose name is Ludvig von Truffle and he showed me around....

Not to mention that Laurie can join the girl crush club too. Love her.

"Bubba, Bichon-Shih Tzu, age 7-1/2, Taurus (like me), constant companion, photo muse, self-portrait partner. A gypsy by nature (or maybe that's me), road-trip navigator and shotgun-rider on three cross-country trips, favors motel hallways and elevators, lives part-time in Uruguay, afraid of horses and cats, loves chorizo. He's featured in three of my photo series (so far) and can often be found modeling on my instagram feed."

And what a day it was in Bellport yesterday! Portie puppy madness! Jane Gorrell and James Lansill's Portuguese Water pups made their way to Bellport for the weekend. Jane offers a bit of thanks! "With the help of my husband James, children Lucinda and Quinn, and most importantly Xie Xie herself, overs a span of four hours, we delivered eight exquisite, healthy, wiggling puppies".  Owners the Gorrell-Lansills. Breeder: Terri Pecora.

Richard Phibbs is at it again! He and the Humane Society of New York, under the brilliant direction of Sandra DeFeo, worked tirelessly with a team of people to get these beauties photographed so they might have a better chance of being adopted.  All were photographed at the Humane Society on September 10th, and each and every one of them is looking for a forever home.  If you are interested in any of these pets please email Sandra.

With this latest Mrs. Sizzle favorite, your dog will no longer accept the excuse that it’s too late or too dark to go on a walk!  After almost colliding with one too many dogs on his nightly bike rides, Chris Forcucci decided it was time for there to be a peace treaty between dog and bike. Chris created The Squeaker Poochlight: leashes and collars with built in rechargeable LED lights that flashes, glows, and comes in seven different colors. Check out the ultimate dog night time accessory on Mrs. Sizzle's list!

Toast Meets World is a brave puppy mill survivor who is here to teach us that rescue dogs are as beautiful as our purebred supermodels, Jagger a Yorkie and Riley a Shih Tzu. We use the word survivor because most “breeding” dogs at mills meet and early and unpleasant end once their bodies can no longer produce.  Toast was photographed in a studio on August 7th in NYC by Tom Schirmacher and had her hair done by Gavin Harwin who had also previously worked on the shot of Jagger and Riley a few months back.
